We are looking for a hardworking and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. You should be able to pour, spread, and smooth concrete mixtures to match the given specifications. You should be detail-oriented and be able to lift and carry heavy loads. You will assist the concrete finishers and form-setters.

As a Concrete Laborer, you should be able to work flexible hours and in extreme weather conditions. You should be familiar with the health and safety protocols and always ensure adherence to them. Having previous work experience in concrete/construction is not required, but an advantage.

Primary Responsibilities

Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics.  This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.

  • Assists in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantles forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, bold or form hardware.

  • Build and position construction forms and molds that hold concrete to the correct depth and ensure they are properly aligned.


  • Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.

  • Load supplies and work tools onto trucks to bring to the jobsite.

  • At the construction site, unload objects and get them where they need to be.


  • Care, clean and organize form material in shop, in truck and at a job site.

  • Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, and tools.

  • Use power washer.

  • Keep jobsite, trucks, and equipment clean.

  • Assist in maintaining a proper supply of concrete so that operations remain constant.

  • Guide the concrete to the proper places.

  • Use tools to distribute the concrete and smooth the top.

  • Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work.

  • Installs expansion joints, rebar, and wire mesh as called for in job specifications.

  • Removes unneeded materials from the working area to a designated location, keeping a clean & safe job site.

  • Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.

  • Sets poly and tape as required in job specifications.

Skills, Abilities and Experience

  • Excellent time management skills. 

  • Able to work in a team environment. 

  • A close eye for details. 

  • Outstanding hand and eye coordination. 

  • Ability to work in extreme conditions. 

  • Good dexterity and physical stamina. 

  • Familiarity with hand and power tools like shovels, rakes, mixer, forklifts, and power washer Reports to work on time at the location specified by foreman.

  • Physical ability to stand and perform repetitive work that includes bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, kneeling, sitting, and squatting for 8 or more hours a day.

  • Effective communication skills including speaking, listening, and following oral & written instructions.

  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.

  • Always Adhering to the health and safety protocols.

  • 0-6 Months of experience in similar position/industry

  • Skills and continuing education:

    • Accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
